- Not rinsing it away properly
We get it, you’re in a rush to go to bed and the last thing you wanna be doing while you’re all sleepy is putting products and water on your face. But not rinsing away your cleanser means you’re leaving an opportunity for it to aggravate and irritate your beautifully fresh skin!
- Using HOT water
Hot water is not good for your skin as it can damage your capillaries and natural moisture barrier, as well as dry it out. Often we think that its necessary to use hot water to get a more effective clean, but luke warm water is best, ensuring you open up the pores and get a good clean without causing damage.
- Not washing your hands before touching your face
Do we need to explain this one? Your hands pick up bacteria throughout the day and we do not want these touching our precious skin.
- Not applying moisturiser after going to all the effort of cleansing
When we cleanse our face we get rid of all impurities and pollutants, and then we need to replenish our skin with all the good stuff. The best time to do this is straight after cleansing when your skin is most absorbent
- Forgetting about your neck
Imagine spending all that time cleansing, toning, moisturising and looking after your face, and then you start aging and the skin on your neck doesn’t match your face. Your neck is exposed to the same environmental factors as our face so it makes sense that we treat it the same way when it comes to cleansing.
